Bioceramics32, the 32nd Symposium and Annual Meeting of ISCM, will be held in Mestre on September 20-23, 2022, just at the border of Venice, worldwide known for its unique historical relevance and for the incomparable architecture and magical scenery dominated by canals, waterways, and magnificent palaces making Venice one of the major center of the Renaissance.

The conference, hosting material scientists, industrial and clinicians form all over the world, offers a unique opportunity to participate to a highly trans-disciplinary event covering the development and application of ceramic-based systems.

At the event, the GIOTTO Project Coordinator, Chaira Vitale Bovarone will participate with a speech on “Bioresorbable devices to treat osteoporotic fractures: the GIOTTO project”. The congress will start tomorrow and other two oral contributions by GIOTTO partners will take place: Federica Banche Niclot will give a speech entitled“An injectable, resorbable and pro-osteogenic cement for the treatment of osteoporotic vertebral compression fractures” and Mattia Pagani will present his work “Mesoporous bioactive glass containing Sr biofunctionalized with recombinant ICOS-Fc: a powerful tool to stimulate compromised bone remodeling”.
